Hi! This is Jean (aka Jeanne). I’m an artist based in California with a background in engineering and teaching experience in mechatronics.

My art practice begins with close observation — of plants, wildlife, and landscapes — and is shaped by a way of thinking value structure, texture, and tactile making. My work captures quiet moments of vitality in the living world and invites viewers to look closely at nature’s delicate details and connect with wild places.

I also love spending time outdoors hiking, climbing, and backpacking, especially in the Sierra Nevada.
